Hi I’m Leslie,
Thank you for taking a moment to visit my site. My primary therapeutic goal is to support individuals, in their journey towards healthy and sustainable growth, including resolution of any past trauma. My approach is grounded in collaboration. I recognize that life can bring periods of feeling stuck, disconnected, being caught in patterns of avoidance, anxiety, and discontentment. In response, I offer a trauma-informed, intermodal framework that incorporates creative and expressive arts therapies alongside evidence-based practices. Together, we work to build skills that foster intentional growth and healing from past experiences, empowering clients to move toward in their goals.
I draw on DBT, Schema Therapy, CBT, EMDR , creative and expressive arts based modalities to assist clients in resolving past trauma and developing new skills to handle life’s challenges, as appropriate to client needs. I honor the uniqueness of individuals and value of our diversity.
Growth and change can be difficult. My hopes are that through providing a supportive and non-judgmental space, I can assist the people that I work with in overcoming challenges and reaching their goals
I work collaboratively with individuals to help them reconnect with their authentic selves and move toward a fuller, more meaningful life. Using a trauma-informed, integrative approach, I draw from expressive arts therapy, CBT, EMDR, DBT, schema therapy, somatic work, and nutrition-based insights—tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Change change be hard, but having a supportive space to explore and find intentional ways to move forward can be immensely helpful in the healing and growth process. Please feel free to reach out and we can set up a complimentary consultation to make sure it feels like the right fit. I am currently accepting new clients.

About the name…
As a therapist, I really love supporting clients’ move through challenging times and finding those ah ha moments! So for me, Insight as a name made a lot of sense.
Insight is a foundational step of counseling that can bring understanding, compassion, letting go and generating positive change in our lives. Without insight, any intentional change would be impossible. Many people start their counseling journey wanting to understand their experiences and move past feelings of anxiety, trauma, depression, self-doubt, guilt and shame related to our lived experiences. Learning about the impact of these events helps us take what we need from our past and move forward with more clarity and intentionality. Counseling can provide a safe place for exploration and learning new skills to assist you moving forward in life.
Services at Insight are holistic. We cannot understand ourselves without understanding the many factors that influence us. At Insight, clients are encouraged to explore their relationships, routines, environments, physical health, nutrition and values in their therapy process. In addition, I like to incorporate elements of neuroscience to help us understand some of the ways our brains work that can impact our responses.
Mindfulness, somatic and creative and expressive based approaches are also incorporated to help manage trauma responses and gain understanding of our nervous system and neurological processes that impact our reactions in daily life.
Lastly, the Gorge part of our name comes from the beautiful region of the Columbia River Gorge, where the concept and actualization of this practice came to fruition. Leslie now lives in New York, but maintains regular connection and travel to the PNW.
